Jersey Graphics

The fascination began in the Fall of 1994, when I received what would become my prized possession for several years: A No. 33 road blue Detroit Pistons jersey, featuring the name of my favorite basketball player of all-time, Grant Hill.

What I didn’t realize at the time, though, was that my fascination would go beyond my favorite players, and instead, into the aesthetics. The manufacturer, the fonts, the colors, the designs — all of which have become an area of interest.

Every jersey can become a capsule of time and memories, taking you back to watching a game with your dad on the couch or celebrating on the court after a conference title.

So, I started designing jerseys for fun. First, capturing my favorite UNCW jerseys and then creating a year-by-year rundown. Since then, it has evolved into creating all 68 jerseys for the Men’s NCAA Tournament annually. In 2026, I decided to expand my efforts to the baseball tournament as well.

Below, you’ll find a few samples of my strange jersey obsession.
